Rajesh Kumar testified that he was also standing in the compartment where the incident took place. He said that while the TTE was standing near the door in the S11 compartment, Rajinikanth came from behind and forcefully pushed the TTE with his two hands. It all happened in a flash. He also mentioned that after pushing the TTE, the accused went back to his seat as if nothing had happened.

Rajesh Kumar and other passengers forcefully caught the accused and handed him over to the police.

Rajesh Kumar said that there was a dispute between the TTE and the accused because the accused was traveling without a ticket. The TTE asked the accused to get off at the next station. However, the accused was drunk behaved very rudely. Then, the TTE tried to contact the railway police over the mobile phone. At that time, the accused pushed down the TTE from behind, causing him to fall.

The eyewitness also stated that the accused was under the influence of alcohol and created a big ruckus inside the train. The maximum punishment as prescribed by the law should be given to the accused, said the eyewitness Rajesh Kumar.
