Wayanad: K Surendran, the BJP state president and NDA candidate for Wayanad, criticized the mention of repealing the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the LDF manifesto and labeling it as a “ridiculous act.” Surendran accused the CPI(M) of taking a stance that no party should ever endorse.

Surendran alleged that leaders, including the Chief Minister, are apprehensive as they are under the scrutiny of investigating agencies, that is why there is talk of repealing the PMLA Act. According to Surendran, many leaders of the Left Front are under the shadow of central investigation agencies. K Surendran pointed out the incident in which NDA candidate Niveditha Subramanian was blocked by SFI and MSF activists during her election campaign at the KMCT campus in Kuttippuram. He noted that the individuals responsible for the obstruction were followers of Rahul Gandhi who oppose fascism.

He emphasized that those blocking NDA candidates, whom he referred to as “SFI-DYFI goons”, should remember that their own candidates are also participating in the election. K Surendran warned that there would be severe consequences if such incidents were to occur again. Furthermore, he condemned the obstruction of a female candidate and verbal abuse, describing it as a highly deceitful act.
