Kannur: In response to the bomb blast incident in Panoor, the bomb squad has conducted extensive searches across various areas in Kannur. Intensive searches are underway in Panoor, Kolavallur, and Koothuparamba. Additionally, on Saturday, the bomb squad searched areas along the Kannur-Kozhikode border.
The police have intensified their search for the accused who are absconding in connection with the Panoor bomb blast case. Shijal and Akshay are yet to be caught. If both are apprehended, it will be possible to ascertain for whom the bomb was intended.
Meanwhile, Vineesh, who was injured in the blast, remains in critical condition. The police will conduct an evidence collection procedure with the three CPI(M) workers arrested in connection with the case. Arun, Shibin Lal, and Athul are the three individuals who have been arrested. The blast occurred on Friday during bomb-making in Kunnoth, Panoor, resulting in one fatality identified as Sherin (31) from Muriyathod.
