Kannur: Vadakara LDF candidate K.K. Shailaja addressed the Panoor blast case, asserting that delving into the political affiliations of those involved is unnecessary. K. K. Shailaja emphasised viewing them solely as criminals, regardless of party affiliation. She further said that CPI (M) has not assigned anyone to visit the family of the deceased individual in the blast.

K. K. Shailaja stated that there is no politics of violence here, as claimed by opposition candidates. She questioned if there had been any recent issues and suggested that the intention of opposition parties is to hold protests out of fear of failure. K.K Shailaja stated that they do not justify bombing, but the party had earlier ruled out the dead person and the injured person, asserting that their political background is irrelevant.

K.K. Shailaja added that the visit of CPI (M) activists to Sheril’s house should not be interpreted in another way. She added that the party has no connection with the incident, and there is a move to distort the incident.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayayn and CPI (M) State Secretary M.V. Govindan defended the visit of CPI (M) leaders to Sheril’s house. They argued that such visits were acts of humanity and should not be misconstrued. They said that it does not matter what their political background is.
