Thiruvananthapuram: NDA candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar asserted that his candidacy in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency was in accordance with the interests of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He made these remarks during a family gathering jointly organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad (ABPSSP) and Sainya Matru Shakti.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar explained that although he had expressed his desire to contest from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency to the Prime Minister, he had not anticipated being granted the seat. He revealed that the decision to allocate him a seat in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency was made based on the Prime Minister’s preference. Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized that his primary objective was the development of Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, he highlighted concerns about the state government’s practice of borrowing money to pay pensions and salaries.

The function was presided over by District President Colonel Sudhakaran Nair. Air Marshal Rt. Madhusudan, Major General Rtd. N.S. Nair, Captain Gopakumar, Sainya Matru Shakti District Patron Maya Gopakumar, District President Sheela S., RSS Karyakari Sadasyan R.S. Biju, and others also addressed the gathering.
