Thiruvananthapuram: The Civil Police Officer (CPO) rank holders will campaign against the government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Their decision comes after the government failed to give appointments even after clearing the exams. The rank holders said that they would also use social media to campaign against the government and warned that it will cause a set back to the LDF government.

The rank holders said that the elections are at the doorsteps and that ten thousand families of the CPO rank holders, their families and friends will not vote for the left front. They added that their protest has the support of the public and will continue their protests against the government through social media. The anti-election campaign against LDF will continue till the voting ends.

The rank holders remarked that they have lost all hope. They added that even after protesting for 11 months and 30 days there is no hope now on the last day. The deadline of the CPO rank list will end today at midnight. 9,946 candidates will hit the streets to protest against their lost opportunity after the deadline.

The rank holders said that they had endured rain and intense heat while protesting against the government’s betrayal. The Chief Minister did not open his eyes even after seeing all their hardships. They said that they have lost all hope and do not believe that the CM will relent on the very last day.

The rank list to seven battalions and 13,975 posts was published on April 13, 2023. Out of this 4029 were given PSC advise memo. The government had given hope to thousands by adding 3035 persons more than the previous rank list. Many who are on the rank list have exceeded their age limit and will no longer be able to join the police force.
