CPI(M) MLA requests fund for NGO for reconstruction works ignoring Chief Minister’s relief fund

Malappuram: These days CPI(M) leaders of all hues and colors in Kerala are lamenting about how opposition parties conspired to block funds from coming into the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

While the media is exposing many irregularities in the CM’s Relief Fund, the communist leaders are trying to projecting the fund as the most transparent fund ever.

However, when communist leaders are encouraging the people to donate their hard earned money to the CM’s relief fund, the communist MLA of Nilamboor, P. V. Anvar, is encouraging people to donate their money to an NGO named ‘Rebuild Nilamboor’.

The fact that the communist party’s own MLA is asking people to donate for another NGO for the reconstruction of the flood affected areas has raised criticisms from different circles.

Surprisingly, no communist leaders are daring to question P. V. Anvar MLA’s fund raising endeavor to rebuild his constituency. It seems the party MLA is aware about the irregularities of the CM’s Relief Fund.

Anvar himself is facing criticism of illegal constructions that have been detrimental to the environment. However, social media is actively discussing the actions of the party MLA in subverting the call for donating money to the CM’s Relief Fund.

However, the question on many people’s mind is why is the MLA requesting donations to a unheard NGO when other options are available.
