Thiruvananthapuram: The Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, V. Muraleedharan inaugurated the 165th Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti Sammelan, at Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala, in Thiruvananthapuram today morning. He addressed the gathering after the inauguration.
Sree Narayana Guru had never built walls for renaissance, V Muraleedharan said. On the contrary, he always demolished those walls that created hindrances for renaissance, Muraaleedharan added. Temporary walls will not stand for long. The messages delivered by Sree Narayana Guru will be lasting forever, said V Muraleedharan. The minister also dedicated the auditorium of Sivagiri Higher Secondary School, at Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala.
Various programmes including poojas and processions are organised on Guru Jayanti. Swami Vishudhdhananda, President, Dharmasamgham Trust, hoisted the flag in the ceremony.
The Member of Parliament, Adoor Prakash and other dignitaries were also present in the function.
