Kochi: Mohanlal has said that the charge sheet filed against him in the ivory possession case will not survive. He added in his statement submitted in the High Court that there is some conspiracy behind filing charge sheet in a case registered in December 2011 after seven long years.
He has received permission from the authorities concerned to hold the ivory. According to Mohanlal, the complaint was aimed at defaming him among the public.
A local person had approached the High Court over the failure to take further action in the case registered in 2011. The government replied that in the report submitted to the Perumbavoor court, Mohanlal has been charged as the first accused. It is in this case that Mohanlal has now given his explanation.
