Palakkad: The inquest of the three communist terrorists, who were gunned down last day by the security forces has started and the bodies will be taken to the Medical College Hospital, Thrissur for postmortem procedures. The inquest is progressing in the presence of Ottappalam Sub Collector.
Three communist terrorists were killed in an encounter with the elite commando team of Kerala Police, Thunderbolt last day in the deep forest area of Manchakkadu, Palakkad. The team, as per the inputs from a secret source about the presence of communist terrorists in the area, began searching in the deep forest. Terrorists opened fire at the Thunderbolt team led by Assistant Commandant Solomon during the search operations. The security forces retaliated heavily leaving three terrorists dead. The three were said to be the members of Bahvani Dalam.
The police team has recovered guns from the firing site. According to police, two terrorists got injured in the attack and they are suspected to be hiding in the premises. Search operations are on and security has been beefed up in Manchakkadu.
The deceased are Sreemathi, Aavind and Karthi. Aravind is from Chikmangalur and Karthi is a native of Tamil Nadu.
