Kannur: The police today arrested two members of the extremist Islamist organization Popular Front. The duo was caught carrying weapons with them and had leaflets which were against the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Ramjanmabhoomi case.
V. C. Thajudeen and Inshad are those who were arrested by the police near Kathiroor Juma Aath Mosque.
Knives were recovered from the two arrested Popular Front members. They were distributing leaflets that were critical about the Supreme Court’s verdict. It said that justice was denied in the case and voices must rise against the verdict.
Popular Front of India is an extremists Islamic organization that is found to be behind many terror activities in the country. Members of the organization have been arrested for various criminal cases related to extremism.
They were also behind the brutal attack against Professor T. J. Joseph at Muvattupuzha. He was attacked and his hand chopped off by Popular Front members in retaliation for a question paper that the professor prepared which the Muslim terrorists say made derogatory remarks against prophet Mohammad.
