Thiruvananthpuram: In an investigation by the Vigilance Department, it is found that many business houses are indulging in black market activities in the state. The investigation was done to uncover illegal activities during the lockdown.
The vigilance found that 91 business institutions are indulging in hoarding of stocks, charging exorbitant prices and black marketing.
The Vigilance Department was asked by the government to look into illegal activities yesterday. The vigilance inspected 212 shops and found that 91 were involved in these illegal actions.
The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, said that these inspections will continue in the coming days.
Free rations will continue till 20 April to face the lockdown. Endosulpan victims will be provided with free rice and will be delivered to their homes. Pensions for those who are quarantined will be kept at banks.
