Thrissur: A DYFI woman activist has complained that DYFI leader groped her after giving marriage proposal. The Mathilakam native has given complaint against DYFI Thrissur District Committee member P H Niyas. Janam TV received voice message that threatened the woman of losing her job from the co-operative firm if the complaint was not withdrawn.
The woman belonging to the Scheduled Caste community had earlier lodged a complaint with the CPM Thrissur district committee, alleging that she was physically abused by a DYFI district committee member, who is also a local committee member of CPM Mathilakam. However, no action was taken against him.
He exploited her by promising for the marriage and later he backed out of the proposal. Niyas alleges that he is a mental-retarded person. To avoid any harm to the reputation of the party, the complaint was not lodged with the police.
The woman has sought intervention of the party to persuade him to marry her, otherwise she has no option left than a suicide.
