Thiruvananthapuram: The communist government in Kerala has made another controversial move after it awarded the contract for creating a mobile app to a company owned by communist activists.
The contract is for creating a mobile app for the online sale of liquor in the state. The pro-communist private start-up company Fair Code was given the contract. Interestingly, the owner of the company is Renjith Ramachandran who is also working as a cyber activist for the communist party.
Surprisingly, the company was started only an year ago. There is an accusation that there is a conspiracy behind the handing over the contract to Fair Code.
It is believed that since Pinarayi Vijayan took power in the state many communist sympathizers started start up companies to get contracts from IT department.
Earlier, the government had handed over lakhs of rupees to Global Innovative Technologies for social media campaigning of the government. This company has a strong connection with the son of CPM Kozhikode district Secretary P. Mohanan that had stirred controversy.
This is one such kind of allegation against mobile app for online sale of liquor.
