Kasaragod: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was raped by seven people, including her father, who apparently is a Madrassa teacher.
The incident came to light after a complaint was lodged at Nileshwaram police station on the directions of the girl’s uncle. Although the victim’s mother knew about the incident, she did not reach out to the police.
Four people, including the victim’s father, have been arrested in connection with the incident. Three other accused are on the run.
The victim in her statement to the police claimed that her father had been molesting and raping her since three years. The victim was raped at home and once she also had to go for an abortion.
The mother will also be charged for hiding the incident, said the police. The father was a culprit earlier in a POCSO case.
