Kozhikode: Despite violating coronavirus preventive norms by Kozhikode Mayor during inaugural events, the police have not taken any action against it.
BJP state secretary KP Prakash Babu had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the mayor had violated the norms by attending various events when the coronavirus outbreak has been a serious concern.
However, the city police commissioner said the complaint was being investigated.
On July 15, the corona control room of the municipality was inaugurated. In the photograph clicked, it can be seen that of the 38 people, only two have worn masks. It is noteworthy that they are also the officials who recommend action against those who violate corona protocols.
