Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded new 885 cases of coronavirus today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. At the same time, 968 people recovered from the infection.
Of the total cases, 167 are from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam 133, Kasaragod 106, Kozhikode 82, Ernakulam 69, Malappuram 58, Palakkad 58, Kottayam 50, Alappuzha 44, Thrissur 33, Idukki 29, Pathanamthitta 23, Kannur 18, Wayanad 15.
The total cases in the state now stands at 16,995.
The state also reported four more deaths due to the infection.
Of these confirmed cases, 64 arrived from abroad and 68 from other states. The total cases infected through contact are 724.
