Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate on Friday sought permission from the special court for economic offences to interrogate Chief Minister’s former principal secretary M Sivasankar in the gold smuggling case.
ED told the special court that on the basis of the statement given by Swapna Suresh, they need to interrogate Sivasankar for further details.
ED made the request in the plea for extending the custody of Swapna Suresh, the second accused in the case.
The court then extended the custody of three accused including Swapna till August 17.
