Thrissur: BJP state president K Surendran said that the role of the son of minister EP Jayarajan in the gold smuggling case should also be investigated. He said that investigating agencies are being criticized for exposing government and the party. Surendran alleged that this is due to the fact that the name of EP Jayarajan’s son has come up besides Minister K T Jaleel.
“Blaming the central investigating agencies is reprehensible. It is a challenge to the rule of law. The CM had said that the probe by the central agencies was in the right direction. Now it has taken a U-turn in fear of being caught. The Chief Minister should respond to the allegation that the probe is politically motivated,” said K Surendran.
“CM Pinarayi Vijayan fears that the probe will reach him. Accused Swapna Suresh reportedly had dialled top officials using the phone of hospital staff. The government provided the opportunity for this. The move to hand over Swapna Suresh to the Kerala Police is to sabotage the investigation,” alleged Surendran.
