Thiruvananthapuram: The coronavirus spread in the state is alarming. Kerala currently ranks third in the number of patients undergoing treatment. It has the second highest number of cases per day. In addition, Kerala ranks first in the active ratio, according to the latest figures from the Union Ministry of Health.
Maharashtra has the highest number of patients currently undergoing treatment. There are 2,61,313 people undergoing treatment in Maharashtra. In the second state Karnataka, 1,12,005 people are undergoing treatment. Meanwhile Kerala is in the third position. At present, 77,564 people are undergoing treatment in the state.
According to yesterday’s figures, Maharashtra was the only state ahead of Kerala in the number of patients per day. In Maharashtra, 15,591 people were diagnosed with the disease within 24 hours, in Kerala it recorded 9,258 cases while Tamil Nadu recorded 8,793 cases.
The Union Territory Dadra and Nagar Haveli has the lowest number of patients per day.
Kerala has the highest number of cases at 36.33 per cent. Arunachal Pradesh is in the second position with 29.54 per cent. The lowest state is Bihar with an average of 6.51 per cent. Most notably, Kerala lags far behind in discharge ratio.
