Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded new 7,871 cases of coronavirus today, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. At the same time, 4981 have recovered from the disease.
25 more deaths were recorded today, taking the total tally to 884.
Thiruvananthapuram recorded with 989 cases followed by Malappuram 854, Kollam 845, Ernakulam 837, Thrissur 757, Kozhikode 736, Kannur 545, Palakkad 520, Kottayam 427, Alappuzha 424, Kasaragod 416, Pathanamthitta 330, Wayanad 135, Idukki 56.
Of the confirmed cases, 54 arrived from abroad while 146 from abroad. 6,910 infected through local transmission.
There are 87738 active cases in the state.
