Thiruvananthapuram: In a significant development, the Enforcement Directorate has submitted in the High Court a sealed envelope that reportedly contains Intelligence Bureau and Military Intelligence reports in connection with the gold smuggling case.
The IB report has detailed on the move of the anti-national activities of the smugglers. The latest evidence and findings were obtained during an investigation led by the Special Director of Enforcement. It is learned that the crucial report was prepared in Delhi.
The ED had told the court yesterday that the crucial evidence against Sivasankar in the gold smuggling case was in a confidential document. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, who appeared for ED, said the document contained information about WhatsApp messages. According to the WhatsApp messages, it is learned that Rs 30 lakh was deposited in the locker in 2018.
