Thiruvananthapuram: After a long interval of 9 months, schools across the state will reopen today with half the number of students in each class. Classes for 10th and 12 standard students will reopen today in compliance with Covid protocols.
The Education Department has issued necessary guidelines for the schools to function. The government has made it mandatory for students to wear masks. It is recommended to keep sanitizers on hand as well. Schools are also directed to provide the students with facilities to wash their hands frequently, classes be arranged as one child per bench for the first week.
The government decided to reopen the classes for standard 10 and 12 ahead of the final exams which is scheduled to be conducted in March.
