Kadakkavur POCSO Case: Mother claims to be innocent; Husband may have threatened my son

Thiruvananthapuram: Mother comes with allegations against the father and the step mother of the child in the Kadakkavur POCSO Case. The mother claimed herself to be innocent while alleging the father to threaten the child to give statements against her. In a press meet held at Sunday morning, the mother said that she is ready to go to any extent to prove the truth.

The mother said that the father might have threatened son to give the sexual assault complaint against her. She told the media that the truth would come out and justice will be served.

“I was at work when the call came from the police station saying that my statement has to be recorded. When I reached there, they told that I was being remanded on my son’s complaint. My husband had demanded the custody of our son who resides with me. He used to abuse the kids while we lived together. I suspect the involvement of his second wife in the conspiracy against me”, said the mother.

“I don’t know anything about the pills that they have accused me of giving to my child. I had taken him to a medical examiner earlier to treat his allergy. My son who lodged the complaint may also be suffering from mental distress now. I filed the case in order to get the custody of my kids who are with him”, she added.

The mother of the 13-year-old boy was arrested in the first week of January at the Kadakkavur police station in connection with a POCSO Case. She was later granted bail by the High Court.
