Thiruvananthapuram: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, today, brought out more documents proving that corruption took place behind the installation of AI surveillance camera under the Safe Kerala project.

Chennithala produced documents showing that before the procedures of e-Tender began for the Safe Kerala Project, there were dealings between SRIT India Private Limited and Ashoka Buildcon Limited.

In addition, Chennithala gave documents to the media showing that Ashoka Buildcon had given a subcontract to Presadio, which is a company headed by a relative of the Chief Minister.

Ramesh Chennithala said that the CM’s silence over these allegations is proof that he is complicit in the scam.

The Congress leader also commented on the Opposition Leader VD Satheesan’s corruption allegation against the government in the KFONE scam. Chennithala responded that giving an amount of Rs.363 crores for maintenance for seven years is a huge corruption. He said that corruption rose after M Sivasankar became the IT Secretary.

Ramesh Chennithala demanded that comprehensive investigation must be done into all the dealings of the IT department since 2018. He also demanded a judicial investigation in the AI camera scam.
