Amid protests and arrests The Kerala Story completes its first show in Kerala; draws applause from those who watched the movie

Kozhikode: The first show of The Kerala Story received widespread applause from those who watched the movie. Those who saw the movie at the Crown Theater in Kozhikode said that the movie is must watch for everyone.

Protests were conducted in front of the theaters that screened The Kerala Story. The Bollywood movie is about a group of girls who are converted to Islam and taken by ISIS waging war in Syria.

The movie, which was released today, faced protests in front of many theaters. The Nationalist Youth Congress, the youth wing of NCP staged a protest in front of the Shenoys theater in Kochi. The protesters were blocked by the police and arrested. They were removed from the venue. The first show of the movie began under police protection.

The Fraternity Movement marched towards the Crown Theater in Kozhikode in protest against the screening.

Meanwhile, the police have provided security to the Aries Plex Theater on account of the protest against the movie. Earlier, the PVR Cinemas had cancelled their show at the last minute and refunded the money to those who had brought the tickets online.
