Kannur: Vande Bharat Express has come under another stone pelting attack in Kerala. This time it happened at Vallapatanam in Kannur district. The stone was thrown at the body of the train. It happened around 3.27 pm while the train was Thiruvananthapuram from Kasaragod.

The primary evaluation is that the window glass is broken in the surprise attack. The police and the RPF have reached the spot and investigations are going on.

Earlier, a similar attack took place at Malappuram district. Though the police and the Railway police began an investigation, the lack of CCTV at the isolated area hindered the progress of investigation.

The Vande Bharat Express, flagged off by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had captured the imagination of the people of Kerala looking forward for more development and transformation of Kerala. The train is a big hit among the people with many sharing their first ride on social media.

However, Communist and Congress leaders tried to downplay the hype of Vande Bharat Express. Congress members were also called out by the public for defacing the Vande Bharat Express by sticking posters of a Congress leader on the window glass.
