KOCHI: While considering the suo moto case in the Tanur boat accident, the High Court pointed out that the judges are being victims of cyber attack. Justice Devan Ramachandran has said the court is being criticized even by those who are responsible. He also asked what is the point in saying that the court cannot intervene in the issue.

Justice Devan Ramachandran faced cyber attack from leftist quarters after he criticized the government and the police in the murder of Dr Vandana Das and the Tanur boat accident. He made this harsh remark following the cyber attack against the court.

He said that people who are criticizing him should say it to his face and added that people who don’t pay heed to anything are writing against the court. “We are being labeled as anti-government when we speak for the people. The court has to intervene when those who are in power fails. The court is responsible to the people and those who are bad mouthing can continue to do so,” stated Justice Devan Ramachandran.

The Justice continued that the government itself has admitted that the system had failed. However, some are more worried than the government. Should the court remain silent even after 11 people from a family died? The government fails to take action even after the laws and norms are being violated.
