Kottayam: In a tragic incident, a police officer died on duty after he fell from a building while trying to nab a gang of card players. The deceased is Additional SI, Joby George, of Kottayam police station. He is a native of Ponkunnam.
The accident occurred at 11pm on Saturday. Joby George had gone up the building in search of a gang of card players. While he was trying to open the door of the room in search of the gang he lost his balance and fell off the building.
Joby George was rushed to the hospital immediately, but succumbed to his injuries today morning.
