Ernakulam: A native of Kozhikode, Savadh Shah, has been arrested for misbehaving with a woman in a KSRTC bus. He also exhibited his private parts. The woman took video of his harassment and has posted it on social media.
According to the victim, Nandita Sankara, the incident occurred on Tuesday near Athani on the national highway. While Nandita was travelling to Ernakulam on a KSRTC bus Savadh Shah alighted the bus from Angamaly. He sat between Nandita and another woman on a seat reserved for women.
Savadh began to misbehave when the bus left Angamaly. He also exhibited his private parts to her. However, Nandita captured his act on mobile without arousing his suspicion.
She quickly got up from the seat and began questioning Savadh. He dashed out of the bus, when it stopped at Athani bus stop. The bus conductor tried to catch him but he was able to escape from his hands. However, Savadh was caught by the people at the junction. He was then taken to the Nedumbassery police station where he was arrested.
It is reported that Savadh Shah is an active member of the Muslim League. He is also a well known figure in the League’s cyber wing.
Nandita Sankara, in her video, has thanked everyone for standing with her and helping her catch the culprit. She also said that once her video went viral on social media, many have messaged her saying that they too have been harassed by Savadh Shah.
