Alappuzha: A defamation case has been filed against CPI(M) Kannur District Secretary, MV Jayarajan at the Kayamkulam court. The case was filed by Devikulangara panchayat member, R Rajesh. The case relates to the communist party leader spreading fake propaganda against RSS in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
The petitioner said that there is no record against the RSS in the case registered by the police in the Gandhi assassination. Nor are there any statements against the organization during the trial or in any of the Commission reports set up to probe the assassination of the Mahatma.
The petitioner says that Jayarajan deliberately conducted the press meet to insult the RSS. The complainant has also submitted a CD containing the visuals of Jayarajan’s statements.
Such statements against RSS were made by KPCC President, K Sudhakaran and CPI(M) leader PP Chithranjan earlier. However, defamation case against them were also filed by BJP leader Sandeep Vachaspati. The case is still proceeding.
