Kochi: The Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma, will visit the house of Dr. Vandana, who was killed at Kottarakkara Taluk hospital while treating an accused brought by the police. The chairperson will reach Vandana’s house at Kadathuruthy by 5 pm.

The National Commission for Women had registered a case yesterday in the murder of the lady doctor. Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister, Smrithi Irani, had visited Vandana’s house yesterday.

Incidentally, the High Court of Kerala will, today, consider the suo moto case registered by the court in the doctor’s murder. The government will submit its report on the hospital protection ordinance and the procedures taken to protect the hospital staff.

The High Court had yesterday ordered the implementation of the protocols that are to be done while bringing culprits of criminal cases to the hospital. The court also suggested that the ordinance by the government must contain all the aspects related to the protection of a hospital.
