Thiruvananthapuram: The police are trying to collude with the accused in an impersonation row at Kattakada Christian College. SFI area secretary Vishakh, who impersonated himself in the union elections, has not been taken into police custody yet. Also, the police are not yet ready to record the statement of Anagha, who was avoided despite being elected as a University Union Councillor (UUC).
The police have collected documents related to the UUC elections, but the rest of the proceedings in the case are going slowly. The explanation given by the officials is that all the collected documents are under verification. Police claim that Vishakh cannot be taken into custody as he is absconding. The police are only saying that Vishakh, the SFI area secretary, and Shaiju, who was the principal, will be arrested soon, but no action has been taken by the police yet.
The principal sent the name of SFI area secretary Vishakh to the university instead of Anagha, who won the UUC position in college union elections. The list given by the college to the university also had a photograph of Vishakh, and the given letter contains both their signatures. The Registrar of Kerala University filed a complaint with the State Police Chief, District Police Chief, and Kattakada Police to conduct an investigation into the complaints regarding impersonation and betrayal of trust, conspiracy, and forgery.
