Ernakulam: The police are still unable to trace former SFI leader, K Vidya, who is an accused in making forged certificates. She made a fake experience certificate claiming teaching experience at Maharaja’s College. The police say that they have intensified their search for Vidya and also searched her home at Thrikaripur and at the hostel she stayed. The police have also failed to recover the original copy of the forged documents.
The police intensified their investigation after a public outcry was raised against the force for not arresting K Vidya.
The police had expected to recover the originals of the faked documents from Vidya’s house. The police team that arrived at Kasaragod was led by Agali Circle Inspector. The questioning and recording of statements are progressing. The Agali DySP will reach Maharaja’s College to collect information.
When the police arrived at Vidya’s house in Thrikaripur, it was found locked. Later a relative of Vidya unlocked the house for the police team. The investigating team also collected information from neighbouring houses.
The police failed to locate Vidya four days after a case was registered against her. There is a rumour that Vidya is hiding at a hostel belonging to Kalady Sanskrit University.
Only if Vidya is arrested and questioned can the investigating team get more information about the fake documents. The case is investigated by Agali police inspector, K Salim.
The case was filed by Agali Government College Principal-in-charge, Lalimol Varghese. The police had arrived at the college yesterday and collected information.
The case registered against Vidya by the authorities of Maharaja’s College at the Ernakulam Central Station has been transferred to Agali Police Station on Thursday.
