Ernakulam: The police have failed to trace the whereabouts of former SFI leader and accused in forgery case, K Vidya. It has been ten days since K Vidya has been absconding, but the police seem to be at a loss in finding her. Rumors are growing that she is hiding in the boys’ hostels of Sri Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit in Kalady.
The police had reached the Sanskrit University, where K Vidya did her PhD. They reached the office of the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar and took the copies of all the documents of the year that Vidya got admission at the university.
Some female students are saying that K Vidya is staying at the boys’ hostel. Following this, the police collected information from the hostel department and documents related to those students staying at the hotel.
Currently, the cultural fest is being conducted at Kalady University. SFI leader Arsho, who is accused in a fake mark-list case, is one of the organizers of the program. This gives more strength to the rumour that Vidya might be holed up in one of the hostels.
The failure of the police to apprehend an accused in a forgery case, even after ten days, has exposed the laxity of the home ministry in investigating the crime. The home ministry is handled by the Chief Minister, who is currently on an international tour to the US and Cuba.
K Vidya, a former SFI leader, is accused of making fake experience certificate to secure a job in a college.
