The Prime Minister said that the people of the country, especially in urban regions, should use the said the miawaki method, which is being implemented all over the world.
He highlighted that the miawaki method of forestation achieves its results within a maximum period of 30 years, while the same outcome would require 50 to 200 years using natural foresting methods.
The goals of a miyawaki model include improving biodiversity, sequestering carbon, increasing green cover, lowering air pollution, and preserving the water table. The miyawaki forests act as habitat for a wide variety of birds, flora and fauna.
