A recent arrest in the fake experience certificate case involved former SFI leader K. Vidya, whose whereabouts were discovered through a ‘selfie’ photo she had taken with a friend. While in hiding, Vidya utilized her friend’s phone to stay informed.

Throughout the investigation, Vidya’s circle of friends remained under police surveillance. During the investigation in the Vadakara region, authorities became aware of a newly activated SIM card registered under the name of one of Vidya’s close friends. Growing suspicious, they examined the individual’s phone and discovered a selfie taken with Vidya just four days prior. Upon questioning, the person revealed Vidya’s hiding place.

At present, the Agali police have not yet made plans to file a case against those who supported Vidya during her period of hiding. Meanwhile, while in police custody, Vidya vehemently denied submitting a fake experience certificate from Maharajas College in her application to Government Attapadi College.

Additionally, Vidya raised concerns regarding the principal of Government Attapadi College, suggesting a potential conspiracy aimed at damaging her reputation as well as that of the SFI.
