Palakkad: Former SFI leader, K Vidya, said that she would not come for questioning today in a case related to forged experience certificate. In an email to the Nileshwaram police, she pointed out health issues as reason for not coming in for questioning. She added that she would come for questioning on Tuesday.
The Mannarkkad court had granted conditional bail to K Vidya yesterday in the case against her for submitting forged experience certificate at Government College in Attapaddy. The police said that Vidya had confessed to the crime. There is a possibility that K Vidya would postpone her questioning citing health issues. Earlier, she had fainted while being questioned by the police.
Vidya gave a statement to the police that she had made the fake certificate using a mobile phone. She then mailed it to an Akshaya center. Vidya took a copy of the print out and submitted it at the Government College in Attapaddy.
Vidya is said to have torn the original print-out of the forged certificate once she realized that she is exposed. She destroyed the original copy at the Attapaddy pass.
The former SFI leader has been on the run from the law for more than two weeks after she got exposed for forging an experience certificate and submitting it at the Government College in Attappady to gain employment. Her alleged crime and subsequent run from the law created a huge political storm in Kerala. Criticisms arose against the police for not arresting Vidya. It was criticized that her political contacts prevented her immediate arrest.
