Thiruvananthapuram: A shocking incident has been reported from the state capital. A woman was taken into a secluded spot at the Krishi Bhavan’s godown and physically and sexually assaulted. The report say that police have arrested a twenty-five year old man, Kiran, for the crime. The accused also took the video of the crime.
According to the police, the woman had gone to a restaurant at Kazhakoottam with another friend on Saturday evening. Kiran, who knew the woman reached there and took her on his bike under threat. She was then taken to Menamkullam first and was beaten. Then he took her to a Krishi Bhavan godown at Vettu road and sexually and physically abused her all night long.
The report said that the woman was able to escape from there in the morning. Passersby heard her cries for help and came there. They gave her clothes and informed the Kazhakoottam police station. The police then took Kiran into custody.
Police say that Kiran knew that the Krishi Bhavan godown was a secluded area because he used to go there to sell plants.
