Kerala residents are advised to prepare for upcoming rainfall as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues warnings for the state. An orange alert has been issued for Idukki district, while eight districts, including Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad, have been placed under a yellow alert.
In addition to the alerts, the IMD has cautioned individuals against venturing out to sea for fishing due to the anticipated rough seas. The wind speed along the Kerala coast is expected to reach 40 to 45 km per hour in the coming days, exacerbating the already rough conditions.
As a result, fishermen are strictly prohibited from setting sail, and the general public is strongly advised to refrain from visiting the beach or engaging in any sea-related activities.
It is crucial for Kerala residents to remain vigilant and adhere to the precautionary measures set forth by the authorities to ensure their safety during this period of inclement weather.
