Thiruvananthapuram: Mizoram Governor and former Kerala BJP State President Kummanam Rajesekharan has submitted his resignation to the President today.

President Ram Nath Kovind has accepted the resignation of Kummanam Rajasekharan and gave Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi added charge of Mizoram.

The move comes amidst high expectation of Kummanam’s return to active politics before the Lok Sabha elections. Many analysts believe that his return is a huge boost to the electoral potential of BJP in Thiruvananthapuram constituency.
