Kollam: In a tragic incident, three Malayalees from Kollam district were killed after their car fell off from a flyover at Al Khor in Qatar on Wednesday, said a report. The deceased are Roshin John (38), his wife Ancy Gomez (29), and Ancy’s brother Jijo Gomez (34). The only son of Roshin and Ancy, Athen Roshin (3) is in hospital with serious injuries.
Another couple who were also travelling with them died in the accident. They are Praveenkumar Shankar (38) and his wife Rajyalekshmi Chandrasekhar (33). Both of them hail from Tamil Nadu.
According to the report, the accident happened when the car in which the families were travelling went out of control when another vehicle rammed the car from behind. The car then fell off from a flyover. The incident occurred at Al Khor, which is 60 km from Doha.
Roshin was native of Neendakara while Ancy and her brother Jijo hails from Azheekal. Roshin, an engineer, has been working in Doha for the past ten years. Ancy and Athen joined him at Qatar only one and a half months ago.
Jijo Gomez is survived by his wife Princy and son Godfin.
