Kollam: A CPI(M) activist has insulted Professor TJ Joseph, who is the victim of Popular Front of India (PFI) terrorists’ attack. The hate post was written by an active CPI(M) activist, Pramod Kollam.

In his social media post, Pramod Kollam, said that Professor TJ Joseph brought the attack on himself. He says that no one has the right to insult anyone here. If you lost your right hand and your wife, then it is good, he said. The CPI(M) cyber comrade also used offensive words against the professor in his social media comments.

Pramod Kollam is one of the prominent faces of the CPI(M) in the cyber space. He is also close to Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, Finance Minister, KN Balagopal, and Education Minister, V Shivan Kutty. He has shared pictures of him standing with these leaders on his social media. It is not clear if he is holding any party position.

Many CPI(M) activists has given their support to Pramod Kollam’s abusive social media post by liking his post against Professor TJ Joseph. Moreover, Islamic radicals have shared his post in many social media groups.

To a comment by someone saying that if the professor had insulted any religion it was possible to move legally and that chopping his hand off and hurling bombs at his home is a form of militancy, Pramod Kollam replies with words meaning the professor’s head should have been chopped off.

Shockingly, Pramod’s murderous comment has also been liked by many CPI(M) comrades.

Pramod Kollam had earlier posted another murderous comment on MJ Srijithin’s post, which supports CPI(M) government’s move to silence online media personality, Shajan Skariah. To that post, Pramod commented that these online media personality should be killed. However, he latter deleted his comment.

Professor TJ Joseph, working at the Newman College in Thodupuzha, was attacked by PFI terrorists on July 4, 2010. PFI and other Muslim organization accused the professor of insulting the prophet Mohammed. However, the professor later clarified that he had no intention to insult their religious sentiments and there was a misunderstanding.

The PFI terrorists hurled bombs at his house and attacked him. TJ Joseph’s right hand was chopped off and thrown away. The professor was also also dismissed from Newman College by the Christian management fearing backlash by the Muslim community.
