Pathanamthitta: The police have arrested six persons in connection with the gang rape of a seventeen-year-old girl at Adoor in Pathanamthitta district. The arrested include the girl’s lover and his friends.
The police had registered a FIR in the first week of July after receiving a complaint from the Child Line. Following this the police began an investigation. The lover and his friends went into hiding after the police began investigating the case.
The police hunt for the accused led to the capture of four of them from Alappuzha and two persons from Pathanamthitta. The police said that their arrests will be recorded after detailed questioning.
