Alappuzha : The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has taken legal action against Kairali Channel, accusing the media outlet of publishing fake news in connection with the murder of a Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) worker in Krishnapuram in Kayamkulam. The legal proceedings have been initiated by RSS Kayamkulam Khanda Karyavah P Dilish through Advocate Pratap G Patikal Associates.

Ambadi, a DYFI worker from Kayamkulam Devikulangara, was killed by SDPI worker, Amithab. However, the Kairali news published a fake news that put the blame on the murder of the communist party worker on the RSS. Amithab was arrested by the police following the murder. In response to the alleged fake news published by Kairali Channel, the RSS has decided to pursue legal action against the media outlet’s Chief News Editor and Alappuzha reporter, Shahjahan.

The RSS is also preparing to take legal actions against social media accounts that deliberately spreads fake news about the organization.

The RSS in a statement said that the death of Ambadi took place after an altercation between persons travelling in two bikes. The issue flared up after the bike travelers called up their friends and ended up in the murder of a person. No RSS workers have been involved in the incident. The communist party is trying to make political gains by creating martyrs and to hide the issues and conflicts within the party. Both the parties involved in the altercation are related to quotation gangs. The RSS demanded that strict action must be taken against the accused by the authorities.
