THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP Kerala State Spokesperson Sandeep Vachaspathi has strongly condemned Subhashini Ali, a Polit Buro Member of the CPI(M), for spreading false and misleading information linking the RSS to the Manipur issue.
The controversy arose from a fabricated Facebook post shared by Subhashini Ali, wherein an image of two men in RSS uniform was wrongfully associated with a disturbing incident in Manipur, which had gone viral.
The BJP leader pointed out that this baseless claim was a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and create a political gain. He expressed concern over the behavior of a responsible leader like Subhashini Ali, questioning the democratic integrity of the party when its members propagate such fake news.
Further investigations revealed that the two individuals in the image circulated on social media were, in fact, BJP’s Vice-President in Manipur, Chidananda Singh, and his teenage son, Sachinanda Singh. They were completely unrelated to the incident in question. Chidananda Singh took the matter seriously and filed a police complaint against those spreading the false claim.
In response to the police action, Subhashini Ali issued an apology for her irresponsible actions on social media. However, the damage caused by the false information remains a matter of concern for Sandeep Vachaspathi and others who believe that such intentional attempts to degrade the RSS can have far-reaching consequences.
