Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment Police have registered a case against former Sub Judge and CPI(M) supporter, S Sudeep, for insulting a lady media personality through sexually explicit social media  post. The complaint was filed by Manoj K Das, Managing Editor of the channel she is working with. He had filed a complaint saying that a coworker was abused.

The Cyber Cell also confirmed that S Sudeep had put an offensive social media post.

Sudeep posted the vulgar comments on social media against the lady media personality at a time when the LDF government and CPI(M) supporters are actively hounding media persons in the state.

The former judge’s social media posts concerning Karkidakavu and Sabarimala had also become widely controversial. Following this the High Court initiated a probe against him. This led to his resignation from the post of Sub Judge in 2021.

Several pleas against him were submitted to the High Court for his comments against the Central Government in the Sabarimala issue. Investigations began against S Sudeep in December of 2019. The investigation team recommended disciplinary action against him.

The High Court gave him a relieving order for expressing views over social media that was not becoming of a judge. The HC handed over the dismissal order after he violated the law not to comment on controversial issues.

Since his dismissal, Sudeep has been targeting all those who criticize the left front through his social media page. He is very active in targeting and insulting people personally in cyber space. He has also criticized High Court judgments on social media.
