Thiruvananthapuram: Hindu organizations intensified their protest against Speaker AN Shamseer’s insult to Ganesha. The Akhila Kerala Tanthri Mandalam (All Kerala Priest’s Group) demanded that the speaker should resign from the post after apologizing for the mistake he had made. Hindu Aikya Vedi also came forward lashing out against the Congress’s silence on Shamseer’s Hindu insults.
The left continues to insult Hindu rituals and gods. Speaker AN Shamseer’s anti-Ganesha remark is also a part of this. When the organisations including the CPI(M) state secretariat supports Shamseer for his derogatory anti-Hindu remarks, protests are flaring up among Hindu organizations and devotees. The Akhila Kerala Tanthri Mandalam responded that Shamseer and his party are aiming at a revolutionary vote conversion by insulting Hindu Gods.
Meanwhile, Hindu Aikya Vedi criticized Congress’s silence on the issue. Hindu Aikya Vedi has stated that the protest will intensify in the coming days. Also, criticism is strong that vote bank politics is behind this, who has conveniently not interfered in the beliefs of other religions. Behind Shamseer’s remarks, there is an allegation that it is an attempt to suppress Hindus and Hindu beliefs, a similar one to that of Sabarimala.
Nair Service Society (NSS) is observing ‘Faith Protection Day’ today, to protest against Speaker AN Shamseer’s anti-Hindu remarks. The NSS also criticized the government for making light of the demand for action against Shamseer. The NSS has intensified its protest demanding for Shamseer’s resignation.
