THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Nair Service Society (NSS) remains steadfast in its opposition to Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer’s anti-Hindu statements. In response to this situation, the NSS recently observed a ‘Protection of Beliefs’ day to protest against Shamseer’s remarks.
However, despite the NSS’s stance, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary MV Govindan and Minister E. P. Jayarajan have come out in support of Shamseer, stating that there is no need for him to apologize or resign over the matter.
The NSS is unwavering in their demand for an apology from Shamseer for his anti-Hindu statement. The organisation strongly criticizes Shamseer’s justifications, deeming them unacceptable and insufficient to heal the wounds of Hindu believers. The organization does not accept the CPI(M) secretary’s explanation in this regard.
The NSS calls for the state government’s stance and actions on the matter.
Depending on the government’s response, the NSS has hinted at the possibility of resorting to further strike measures.
NSS General Secretary G. Sukumaran Nair has announced that the organization will conduct an open strike to express their dissent on the issue. He also issued a stern warning that any attacks on Hindus, in any form, will be met with uncompromising opposition.
As the situation unfolds, the NSS intends to intensify their protests during the upcoming assembly session.
Yesterday, under NSS leadership, a peaceful ‘Namajapa Yatra’ was conducted from Palayam Ganesh Temple to Pazhavangadi Ganesh Temple.
In yesterday’s protest, thousands of Hindu believers attended.
