Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President, K Surendran, criticized the opposition and the opposition leader, VD Satheesan, for not taking up the monthly payment scam in which the Chief Minister’s daughter, Veena Vijayan is involved. He accused the opposition of involvement in the scam and said that is why the opposition parties in the Assembly are keeping silent on the issue. Surendran also demanded an investigation into the scam.

K Surendran said that the opposition has received a share of the corruption and that is why they are keeping silent. The other day reports came out suggesting the involvement of senior leaders of the Opposition like Ramesh Chennithala, Kunhalikutty, and the recently deceased Oommen Chandy.

The BJP leader said that in Kerala the opposition and the opposition leader had become insignificant. He accused opposition leader, VD Satheesan, of supporting those who are corrupt.

The Income Tax Department had recovered a diary from the office of Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited, which is accused of giving monthly payment to Veena Vijayan’s company, Exalogic Solutions, without receiving any service. In the diary initials of many individuals and the amount of money paid to them are written on it. The official, who was questioned by the agency revealed the names behind the initials.

K Surendran said that the initial PV found in the diary is Pinarayi Vijayan. He also raised the allegation that more money has been given to Pinarayi Vijayan than what was given to Veena Vijayan.

He said that both Left Democratic Front and the United Progressive Alliance are in an unholy alliance. The I.N.D.I.A alliance in Kerala has turned into a gang of robbers.

Surendran also revealed that the controversial industrialist had paid Rs.96 crores to many leaders belonging to different political parties and also to officials.

The BJP leader also said that BJP will field a strong candidate in the upcoming by election to Puthupally constituency that fell vacant due to the death of Congress leader and MLA, Oommen Chandy.

He said that he by-election will give an opportunity for the BJP to highlight the corruption and communalism practiced by both the ruling and opposition parties in Kerala.
